From next March, 1,200 students of municipal schools will have modern interactive English labs . This was announced the morning of Monday 19 by Mayor Eduardo Soto and Councilman Juan Ramon Godoy, supporters of this initiative. The investment reached $ 80 million (CLP).
The initiative considers the training of teachers in digital technologies to improve English learning in more than a thousand students. In addition, teachers acquire the skills to incorporate into their teaching technological tools that allow lower current digital divide, improving the achievement levels of language learning.
"These labs are the most modern in the country. There is no other place in town that is making an investment of this nature. It is an initiative that we worked together that comes from the personal concerns of Councillor Godoy. Now that we have done respective contracts and commitments, we are able to announce its implementation, " said Mayor Eduardo Soto.
Meanwhile, Councilman Juan Godoy, president of the Education Commission of the City Council, said the implementation of these laboratories are looking forward to the indicators that will come, as is the case Simce of Physical Education, English and ICT. "Hopefully in the coming years this will be implemented in all schools of Rancagua".
